Andrew Bolt is a personage who burns bright in the media universe of Sky News after dark.
In his newspaper columns, he’s also waged a long campaign on the issue of global warming. He’s against the notion in general and against action in particular.
In a recent column entitled ‘Evidence simply doesn’t support climate hysteria’, Andrew Bolt wrote that in the lead up to the climate change meeting in Glasgow, we would be hearing ‘plenty of global warming porn.’
In his article, he describes Tim Flannery, an emeritus professor, mammologist, palaeontologist and climate change campaigner as being shameless, because he has been ‘so wrong’ on the issue of climate change.
Much could be written about this column and about Andrew Bolt as a columnist, but life is short and so we make only two comments.
Playing the person – the ad hominem argument – not the issue is not logical or fair.
Cherry picking evidence is not logical or proper.
His column wins October Blackwhite.
